The Culture in Education section has as its responsibility the implementation of the Culture in Education Programme. Through this programme culture is integrated in the school curricula to facilitate a better and richer understanding of ourselves through greater awareness of our history and traditions, thereby fostering a sense of pride in self and country. The programme gives priority to the relationship with the school community, as a condition for its success. Culture Agents in schools oversee the Culture in Education Programme and provide advice on how culture to explore various elements of culture across all subject areas. The unit trains teachers in culture dissemination and the integration of culture in curriculum delivery.
