Funding for 2023-2024 School Year

Per Capita is determined by the full funding to the school (considering all input costs) divided by the enrollment. This may vary annually.

KEY:
Operational Grant    – Grant provided per child for the daily operation of the school
Rehabilitation – Grant disbursed for the maintenance and minor repairs of the school building
Utilities – Grant provided for Broadband and Telephone. Water and Electricity costs for the primary and Infant Schools are not yet included. The average monthly payment for these schools is  $70 Million and $26 Million for JPS & NWC respectively
Compensation – Funding provided for the payment of Academic, Administrative, and Ancillary staff. Some school compensation included the compensation for teachers placed in basic schools,  and other private schools based on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the MoEY or for teachers temporarily transferred /redeployed
Examination – Subsidy payment for CXC, City & Guilds, and  PEP examination, CVQ and NVQJ
Resources – Educational Resources provided – ebooks, work, and text Books
Ongoing work and updates will be done as needed.
