The Grade 3 Diagnostic Tests is a curriculum-based test which is administered to students who have completed the grade 3 curriculum. The instrument is administered in Language Arts and Mathematics, at the end of the school year (June) to students in grade 3. It is designed primarily to identify the areas of weakness students may have at this point in their learning journey. The results of the G3DT are to be used by the grade three teachers to adjust their teaching strategies in preparation for the incoming students while the grade four teachers should use them to plan necessary interventions for individual students and/or group of students who sat the tests.
