Grade One Individual Learning Profile (GOILP)
This instrument is used to audit students’ social, cognitive and interpersonal skills, and the learning environment. The information gleaned is useful to teachers of grade one. It will assist teachers in identifying the specific needs of each child entering grade one.
The assessment items require both individual and group administration. The data obtained from the administration of the GOILP provides the teacher and school administrators with reliable information about each student in the class. Teachers should use this data to develop appropriate activities/programmes to meet individual needs as well as group needs of the students.
