November is youth month, and celebrations are focused solely on featuring, celebrating, engaging, and empowering our Jamaican youth. This year’s youth month is being celebrated under the theme “Evolve”. Youth are being called to evolve, as the Ministry of Education makes strides in meeting their developmental needs while contending with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the launch on Monday, November 1, State Minister in the Ministry of Education, Robert Nesta Morgan says the theme represents a call to action for our youth to rebrand and revise their strategies and use the platforms and opportunities presented to them to evolve in business and their academic pursuits, health and mental wellness.
He notes the Government has started the process of changing the lives of youth. He noted that though a slow process towards a positive change has started, however all hand is is needed on deck to, as it takes a village to raise a child.
Nesta Morgan also outlined the series of activities that the Education Ministry will execute throughout November. He is imploring the youth to get involved in this initiative while noting it will be beneficial towards their growth and development.test
